Why Spiritual Art?

Trust the process. Your soul is calling you back to yourself. Art is one way to remind ourselves that it is necessary to follow our true paths.

Bio

Born and raised in the American Southwest, Sherry spent much of her early life searching for a sense of belonging and a place she could truly call home. A profound spiritual awakening became a defining turning point, opening a deeper connection to spirituality, freedom, and purpose. After years of setting her creative ambitions aside, she returned to painting and completed a long-unfinished portrait of a white Arabian horse. The distinctive background and emotional intensity of the piece sparked something unexpected—a renewed creative force that would ultimately lead her to embrace art as a lifelong calling.

Sherry Mitchell Artist Statement

My art is a reflection of what it feels like to come into synchronicity with truth, to find light after knowing darkness. I create spiritual works centered on hope, courage, connection, and the quiet strength it takes to keep going. Horses appear often as symbols of freedom, intuition, power, and the deep bonds we share; perhaps I paint them because my soul remembers them. Birds and triangles carry their own language of transcendence and transformation. I believe there is a path for each of us, even when we cannot yet see it. My work is an invitation to trust the process, stay true to yourself, and not give up.
